- What does Ultimate Analytics actually do?
- It answers four questions with evidence: what your marketing achieved, where you stand against the companies you lose deals to, why, and what to do next. In practice that means a written measurement standard, a cleaned performance baseline, channel and lead economics reconciled to your CRM, a scored competitive scorecard, and custom alerts on competitor moves.
- Why is there no pricing on this site?
- Because scope varies by business and by the questions your decisions depend on. Publishing a number would mean either quoting for work you do not need, or under-scoping work you do. Every engagement is scoped and custom quoted after the first meeting, and there are no prices anywhere in the deliverables either.
- What can you track about our competitors?
- Anything publicly observable and datable: new or rewritten pages, positioning changes, new ad campaigns and messaging, hiring velocity by role family, team and leadership expansion, new service lines, new locations and service areas, publishing cadence, search visibility on commercially scoped terms, and review volume, velocity and themes.
- How is a lead counted?
- Against a written definition you approve before any number is produced. Submissions are deduplicated on contact identity, filtered for automated and internal or vendor traffic, and classified against that one standard. If the definition changes, the change is dated and noted rather than applied silently.
- Is this just a dashboard?
- No. A dashboard shows you numbers. This is analysis: every finding carries reasoning, verbatim evidence, a source, a capture date and a confidence label, and every engagement ends in a prioritised list of actions rather than a chart.
- How do you score competitors?
- On an absolute one to five scale across five lenses: positioning, service architecture, inbound and content, conversion, and audience. Tier language is written before any company is examined, so a score does not move depending on who else is in the comparison set.
- Why absolute scoring instead of ranking?
- Relative scoring grades everyone against the strongest company in the set, so mediocre execution in a weak market reads as excellence. Absolute tiers surface flat, low columns, which is the most commercially useful output: an unclaimed position the first company to meet the higher tier can take without a fight.
- What happens if the data contradicts our plan?
- We report it. Definitions, comparison sets and time windows are fixed before analysis runs, specifically so an inconvenient result arrives as information rather than as an argument.
- Can you set up custom alerts?
- Yes, and they are threshold based rather than change based, with a weekly volume ceiling set deliberately. Each alert carries the before and after text, the source and the capture date, so a recipient can verify the claim inside the alert.
- Do you offer white label services for agencies?
- Yes. Marketing and advertising agencies, consultants, fractional CMOs and advisory firms resell this under their own brand. You keep the client relationship and the letterhead, and you inherit the evidence standards, including a defined escalation path when a client disputes a finding.
- What systems do you need access to?
- Typically your analytics, ad platforms, CRM and, where ROI is in scope, the revenue basis from accounting. Read access is enough. What is available is confirmed in the first conversation, and what cannot be read is stated openly rather than estimated quietly.
- How long before we see something useful?
- The hygiene pass and written definitions usually produce a surprise early, because most reported lead counts are inflated by duplicates, automated traffic and definition drift. Competitive scoring follows once evidence has been captured to a parity floor across the set.
- Do we need to replace our agency?
- No. This is a measurement layer, not a replacement for the people doing the work. Several agencies deploy it for their own clients precisely because an independent layer that is willing to report a bad number makes a good number worth something.
- Who owns the data?
- It is your marketing data and it stays yours. Each engagement is client-scoped with per-client isolation, and access is granted to named people and individually revocable.
- What are the known limits?
- Published on the methodology page rather than left for you to discover. In summary: it reads observable behaviour and cannot see internal strategy, margins or roadmaps; it does not predict; it cannot recover history that was never instrumented; AI answer citations vary by session so those checks report tested attempts on a stated date; and ad transparency records show creative rather than budget.
- Who is this for?
- Small and medium businesses that spend real money on marketing and cannot currently say what it produced, portfolio operators who need one comparable standard across unlike businesses, and agencies that want an intelligence practice without building an intelligence team.
- Who is behind Ultimate Analytics?
- Ultimate Analytics is powered by DigitalTreehouse, founded by Scott Hodson. The service, the methodology and the evidence standards are ours.
