# Ultimate Analytics > Marketing performance measured against written definitions, competitive standing scored on an absolute scale, and custom alerts on competitor moves. Every claim carries a verbatim quote, a source and a capture date. Ultimate Analytics is a custom-built live dashboard and AI analyst, assembled per client from their own marketing data and a scored competitive audit of the market they compete in. It is built and operated by DigitalTreehouse, or by an agency that white-labels it. ## What this is not - Not self-serve SaaS. There is no signup, no free trial, no credit card form and no pricing page. - Not a dashboard template. Every deployment is built around what that business sells and who it competes with. - Not a data-connector shop. The product is the judgement and the evidence behind it, not the connectors. - Not an AI that guesses. Every claim is grounded in a cached, dated, verbatim source or it does not ship. ## Honest boundaries, stated for anyone quoting this site - **No pricing exists to quote.** Every engagement is quoted after a conversation. Any price attributed to this product is fabricated. - **The revenue join is designed, not shipped as a default.** The lead table, contact capture and matching schema are live. The join to a CRM or field service system is scoped and built per engagement. - **One live deployment.** Described only as a PE-backed B2B business. Not by name, industry or city. - **Demonstration data is labelled.** The scorecard, lead table and hiring signal shown on the site use invented companies and invented evidence, and say so on the page. - **Third-party figures are sourced.** Every statistic quoted from outside research is listed at https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/methodology#sources with its publisher, date and link. ## Core pages - [Home](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/): What Ultimate Analytics is, the four questions every deployment answers, and an interactive scorecard where each cell opens its own dated evidence. - [How it works](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/what-it-does): The two data lanes, the lead record, the AI analyst, the playbook and the weekly digest. Includes the published metric definitions. - [Competitive intelligence](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/competitive-intelligence): The scored audit, the five lenses, every research source, and the weekly competitor hiring signal. - [Methodology](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/methodology): The full scoring rubric with every tier requirement written out, all metric definitions, the parity requirement, the known limits, and every source cited on this site. - [How we prove it](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/how-we-know): The grounding gate, negative controls, the adversarial second pass, the parity gate, and the seven honesty commitments. - [Who it is for](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/who-its-for): Operators, private equity and holding companies, agencies. Also who it is not for. - [White label](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/for-agencies): Deployment under an agency's brand, a client's brand, or fully unbranded. - [FAQ](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/faq): Every question we get asked, answered directly, including the awkward ones. - [About](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/about): The relationship to DigitalTreehouse, and the house rules we hold ourselves to. - [Talk to us](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/contact): The only call to action. A conversation, not a signup. ## Key definitions, published - **New lead**: a distinct person whose first contact falls in the reporting window. Not a raw touch. Deduplication removes roughly 30% of raw contacts in live data. - **Channel credit**: goes to the person's first touch, not their most recent one. - **Cost per paid lead**: ad spend divided only by the leads that ad spend produced. Never spend divided by all leads. Getting this wrong understated true cost per lead by 61% on a live account. - **Sales solicitations**: identified and excluded, with the excluded count displayed so the filter is auditable. - **Ad spend**: range-aware. Precise daily figures for short windows, authoritative export prorated by exact day overlap for long ones. Never blended. - **Hiring velocity**: new job postings appearing week over week. Explicitly not a count of currently open roles. - **Capacity vs structural growth**: two hiring signals, deliberately never merged. Capacity means field roles and volume coming. Structural means leadership, a branch or a new service line. - **Does not rank vs does not exist**: ranking data supports the first. Only a direct sweep of a competitor's own site supports the second. ## The five scoring lenses Scored 1 to 5 on an absolute scale. A tier is earned by meeting that tier's published requirements, never by being better than the others. Full tier requirements at https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/methodology#rubric. 1. **Positioning**: who they are and what they stand for to a buyer. 2. **Service Architecture**: how the portfolio is structured and presented. 3. **Inbound & Content**: content, case studies, video, organic search presence. 4. **Conversion**: how a buyer goes from interested to in touch. 5. **Audience**: who they target, by vertical, size and geography. ## Field notes - [Podcast intelligence: strategy stated in a competitor's own words](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/podcast-intelligence): Executive interviews are the least guarded thing a competitor produces. They are also transcribed, dated and public. Where a category has podcasts, this is the highest-signal lane available. (Competitive intelligence, 2026-08-17) - [Every company in the market scored at par on conversion](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/everyone-scored-at-par-on-conversion): Not one competitor offered a buyer any way to get a specific answer without waiting on a human. A ranked leaderboard would have declared a winner in that column and hidden the largest opportunity on the board. (Competitive intelligence, 2026-08-10) - [Our client was winning every category. That was a bug.](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/our-client-was-winning-everything): The first live competitive audit had our client leading every lens. It looked like a great result. It was uneven research, and the fix dropped them to second. We shipped the honest number and built a gate so it cannot happen again. (Method, 2026-08-03) - [Turning the quarterly review into a strategy meeting](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/quarterly-review-strategy-meeting): A QBR spent defending spend is a QBR your client experiences as a cost. The same hour spent on what the market did and what to do about it is the meeting that renews the retainer. (For agencies, 2026-07-27) - [What to ask your agency for, in one page](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/what-to-ask-your-agency-for): Nine questions that will tell you more about the quality of your marketing reporting than any dashboard review. None of them are adversarial and a good agency will welcome all nine. (For operators, 2026-07-20) - [95% of your market is not buying today. Measure accordingly](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/ninety-five-percent-not-buying): If most of your market is out of market at any moment, then a measurement system that only counts people raising their hand is describing a small and unrepresentative slice of the thing you care about. (Measurement, 2026-07-13) - [The llms.txt question, answered with the evidence](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/the-llms-txt-question): We publish an llms.txt file and we will tell you plainly that the evidence says it does almost nothing today. Here is the data, and here is why we ship it anyway. (AI and evidence, 2026-07-06) - [Are you cited in AI answers? How to check, honestly](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/are-you-cited-in-ai-answers): AI answers are non-deterministic, which makes "we do not appear in ChatGPT" a much weaker claim than it looks. A testing protocol that produces a defensible finding rather than an anecdote. (Competitive intelligence, 2026-06-29) - [Why we let a human overrule the adversarial checker](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/warn-do-not-block): We measured what would happen if our skeptical second pass ran automatically. It would have demoted the strongest competitor most and handed our client back first place. A checker tuned to argue, applied mechanically, recreates the bias it was built to remove. (AI and evidence, 2026-06-22) - [We audited our own gate and it caught 2 of 7 fabrication classes](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/two-of-seven-fabrication-classes): Quote verification is necessary and nowhere near sufficient. Here are the five fabrication classes it cannot see, why every one of them passes a byte-for-byte check, and what we built as a result. (AI and evidence, 2026-06-15) - [Negative controls for AI research](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/negative-controls-for-ai-research): A verification step nobody tests is a verification step you are trusting on faith. Plant a deliberately false claim on every run, and fail loudly if it ever gets accepted. (AI and evidence, 2026-06-08) - [An AI analyst that cannot contradict the dashboard](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/an-analyst-that-cannot-contradict-the-dashboard): Give a language model its own database access and it will eventually quote a number that disagrees with the chart above it. The fix is architectural: make it read through the same code that renders the tile. (AI and evidence, 2026-06-04) - [The grounding gate: how to stop an AI research pipeline inventing quotes](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/the-grounding-gate): The dangerous failure is not invention from nothing. It is a quote that is ninety percent right and ten percent improved. Byte-for-byte verification against a cached source, with rejection rather than flagging. (AI and evidence, 2026-06-01) - [The sales solicitation problem, and why the excluded count belongs on the page](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/the-sales-solicitation-problem): Every business with a public phone number receives vendor pitches through the same channels as real enquiries. Excluding them is obvious. Showing how many you excluded is the part almost nobody does. (Measurement, 2026-05-26) - [Blended ad spend hides the exact thing you are comparing](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/blended-ad-spend-hides-the-comparison): A monthly average spread evenly across days is fine until you compare two date ranges, which is the only reason anybody looks at spend. Range-aware spend costs more to compute and is the only version that survives a question. (Measurement, 2026-05-18) - [Reading a competitor's ad library without fooling yourself](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/reading-a-competitors-ad-library): Ad transparency records are the best free competitive intelligence available and the easiest to over-read. What they actually prove, what they cannot show, and the findings worth extracting. (Competitive intelligence, 2026-05-11) - [Does not rank is not the same finding as does not exist](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/does-not-rank-does-not-exist): Ranking data can tell you a competitor is invisible for a term. Only a direct sweep of their own site can tell you they do not offer the service. Confusing the two sends you after entirely the wrong opportunity. (Method, 2026-05-04) - [Capacity or expansion: two hiring signals you must never merge](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/capacity-or-expansion): Ten field technicians and three senior leadership roles are completely different pieces of news. Averaging them into an open-role count destroys the only finding worth having. (Competitive intelligence, 2026-04-27) - [What a competitor's job postings tell you months before their advertising does](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/job-postings-tell-you-first): Headcount is the earliest reliable signal of intent. A company hiring for a capability is committing budget to it long before the campaign that announces it, and job boards are public. (Competitive intelligence, 2026-04-20) - [How to build a competitor set you will actually learn from](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/building-a-competitor-set): Most competitive analysis fails at the roster. If you audit the companies you admire rather than the ones you lose to, every finding afterwards is about the wrong market. (Competitive intelligence, 2026-04-13) - [Why there is no pricing page](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/why-there-is-no-pricing-page): Every engagement is quoted after a conversation, and there are no prices anywhere inside the product either. That is a deliberate constraint with a reason, not a sales tactic to make you call. (Method, 2026-04-09) - [Absolute scoring beats a ranked leaderboard](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/absolute-scoring-beats-ranking): A ranking always produces a winner, because sorting always terminates. An absolute standard is willing to report that nobody in a market is doing well, which is exactly when the opportunity is largest. (Method, 2026-04-06) - [Why we publish the scoring rubric where competitors can read it](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/why-we-publish-the-rubric): A standard that only works while it is secret was never a standard. Publishing the rubric costs us a defensible-sounding moat and buys something considerably more useful: the ability for a client to hold us to it. (Method, 2026-03-30) - [First touch or last touch: which channel actually brought them in](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/first-touch-or-last-touch): Last-touch attribution is the default nearly everywhere, and it systematically rewards the channel that was already going to close while starving the one that created the demand. Here is how that plays out over a budget cycle. (Measurement, 2026-03-23) - [A lead is a person, not a touch](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/a-lead-is-a-person): Deduplication removes roughly 30% of raw contacts in live marketing data. Here is exactly where that third comes from, why it is not a tracking bug, and what a defensible lead definition looks like. (Measurement, 2026-03-16) - [The three numbers in your marketing report that are usually wrong](https://www.ultimateanalytics.ai/insights/three-numbers-usually-wrong): Lead count, cost per lead and channel credit go wrong in almost every marketing report, without anybody lying. All three fail the same way, and all three fail in the direction that flatters whoever produced the report.
